Born and grew up in Trieste, Italy. After receiving his BA in composition Luca specialized his activity on music for movies, theater and dance, and in 2011 he moved to Los Angeles to attend the Film Scoring Program at UCLA Extension. During that time he got selected for the SCL Mentorship Program and he composed and produced his debut album Seventeen Million Lonely Angels. The project was well received and got awarded as Best of Show at the Global Music Awards.

Likewise other composers such as Max Richter, Ólafur Arnalds and Dustin O’Halloran, in his debut album Luca blended classical music, minimalism and film scoring in a recognizable yet personal style where environmental sounds created the landscape to highlight human fragility in nowadays society.

As a film composer he worked with EFA nominee Ivan Gergolet, Emmy winner concept designer and director Daniel Auber, with Emmy winner director Rudy Poe and with Golden Globe winner Davide Del Degan. He also worked with directors Stéphane Dumonceau, Chiara Sambuchi, Sonejuhi Sinha, Andrea Magnani and Renzo Carbonera. He scored for theater plays as well, and in 2005 he composed his first ballet Q – La vertigine della fantasia, choreographed by Corrado Canulli.

In 2014 he composed the music for the acclaimed documentary Dancing with Maria, directed by Ivan Gergolet and produced by Igor Princic (Zoran, My Nephew the Idiot). The film was premiered and awarded at the International Film Critics Week at the Venice Film Festival and it was nominated Best Documentary at the European Film Awards 2015.

In 2016 Luca worked one three new features to be released in 2017 and he is currently working on his second solo album.
